Colors, themes, style… we have you covered!

At Kennolyn Events we provide the services of a professional event planner as part of your Wedding Package. Like your best friend, your planner is there to offer you their honest opinion on every topic you might be pondering. Often, it’s a recommendation for photographers, officiants, florists, and hair stylists, but we also find ourselves frequently asked about color schemes and trends. We love picking up new ideas from Bridal Fairs and Expos, and are happy to share our top 5 trends for 2019.

#5 Neo Boho

Situated in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Bohemian vibe has never really been out of style, so what’s different for 2019?

Free spirits love individuality, so why not incorporate some one-of-a-kind elements into your wedding. Whether you grow your own dahlias, forage greenery, or build your own arbor, you’ll save money and have some fun at the same time!

#4 Fresh Air

Hot off the back of the modern hippie trend, we are touring more and more couples who just want to be outside. Whether it’s an ocean view, or a forest setting, people are letting nature be the backdrop for their once-in-a-lifetime vows.

Although we also offer a pristine lawn with views of the Monterey Bay, many couples choose Kennolyn for it’s dramatic Redwood Grove ceremony sites. This charming setting is peaceful and relaxing for all, and needs very little decor.

#3 Bright Colors

Nobody loved the Pantone 2018 Color of the Year more than us!

Ultra Violet Purple (18-3838) complimented our emerald green redwoods perfectly. Jewel tones will always be a classic favorite for forest weddings, but in 2019 we are seeing that they are just a little brighter and bolder! We love this trend for bridesmaids dresses, accessories for your groom, and maybe a little shrug or pashmina to layer up with as the sun goes down. So, what’s the hot color for 2019?

#2 Coral

Pantone has done it again with the sensual, sun-kissed hues of Living Coral (16-1546). Peach is perhaps not many people’s first choice for clothing, but as an accent color, it embraces guests with warmth and has a comforting effect. Coral pairs beautifully with ivory, cream, and navy so brings many options for flowers, linens, and decor.

However you bring this color to life in your wedding, it is associated with OPTIMISM & JOY, and so has our full approval!

#1 Booking Early

Maybe it’s thanks to social media, or traditional word-of-mouth, but if it’s hot, book it early!

When it comes to your wedding, there are some resources that are exclusive; your photographer can only be in one place on any given day, yet your florist could potentially book multiple weddings.

Once the biggest decisions have been made – your venue, and subsequently, your date – it’s time to lock in those vendors who will book up. If you have a wedding planner, you can relax to some degree, but it’s easier than ever for every bride to stay on top of details these days – there’s an app for everything! Be inspired with Molly E.
