Tradition

Founded in 1946 by Max and Marion Caldwell, Kennolyn has grown from 60 to 300 acres of beautiful Santa Cruz redwoods on two adjacent properties and is still managed by the Caldwell family. As a result, the family concept is the cornerstone of camp life.

Adventure

Reach the sky on the ropes course, ride a horse, cook hotdogs over an open fire, and swim in our pool... After your families first summer at Kennolyn, life will never be the same! Because here we take time to remember the things that matter the most. Family!

Individuality

You can personalize your schedule daily so that your days are filled with all of the activities you love! In addition to the daily activities, campers young and old get to enjoy Outpost (primitive camping in our own woods), campfires, and day hikes through the woods of our very own 300 acre redwood forest.

Spirit

Kennolyn campers and counselors are, above all, enthusiastic. We sing songs, dress in crazy costumes for weekly campfires, celebrate individual achievements, and take great pride in our camping traditions.

Community

Camp Kennolyn is a community of campers and counselors, a place where the oldest campers are friendly with the youngest campers and where counselors know you by name. Here at Family Camp you get exactly what you are looking for! Everything from a laid back day at the pool to the excitement found at the ropes course and riding arena! You are able to personalize your schedule to get exactly what you are looking for.

Friendship

At Kennolyn, we believe that people have an unlimited capacity for love and appreciation of others and the out-of-doors, and that summer camp nurtures that capacity. Friendships made at Kennolyn are friendships to last a lifetime.

Fun

Have you ever seen a horserace where campers are jockeys riding piggyback on counselors? Have you ever joined nine of your closest friends dressed up in funny clothes to celebrate the 4th of July? Or have you ever competed in a gym meet even though you don't know how to do a cartwheel? At Kennolyn, we believe that having FUN is an essential ingredient of LIFE. At Kennolyn, we do it all in the name of "fun."
