KC Select programs are optional activities that extend and enhance the day camp experience by offering specialized activities and adventures that are designed to excite!

Trapeze focuses exclusively on the thrills and skills of the flying trapeze and is a one period activity available at Day Camp Session 1, 2 & 3 (June 23rd-June 27th, June 30th-July 4th, and July 7th-July 18th) to campers entering 2nd grade or higher. Campers will practice hanging upside down on a stationary bar and then move on to the actual trapeze where they can practice flying through the air. Once campers feel comfortable with that element they move on to "making the catch" which means swinging by your knees on one bar, reaching out and connecting with the hands of the catcher who is hanging by his knees on another bar, how exciting! Safety lines, a net and experienced instructors are on hand at all times. We will again be partnering with the circus professionals from Trapeze Arts. Campers who chose this option will be invited to bring parents and friends to camp on a special weekend day (tba) to show off their new skills.

Riding is a chance to spend time at our beautiful equestrian center at our one or two week riding programs! Campers spend one hour at the barn with a 50-minute riding lesson, and special attention from our dedicated staff each activity day. This program is offered for riders advanced beginner through intermediate. Campers will have an opportunity to ride both in the ring and on the trail as well as a real hands on look at horsemanship. Campers should bring their riding helmet, boots and breeches if they have them otherwise they will be provided by camp. Due to it's popularity each summer we advise that campers sign up early for this program. It will be offered every session at Day Camp to campers entering 2nd grade or higher. Riding KC Select is $85 per week in addition to the standard day camp tuition.
