Ball Sports

Basketball, Dodge Ball, and Court Hockey-Have fun in all of these recreational classes. Basic instruction is offered with lots of opportunity for fun and development of basic skills. At the Day Camp we switch up activities on a daily basis so campers get the opportunity to try lots of different activities throughout their session. back to top

Fencing

Fencing-This fast and exciting Olympic sport has been taught at Kennolyn since the 1960s.. Campers' going into 2nd grade and older are eligible. Safety is emphasized form the very beginning as is the importance of keeping equipment in good repair. Our shaded fencing piste has an elegant, non-slip surface and is perfect for beginners or improving fencers. This program is taught by an advanced international fencer who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Kennolyn.

Tennis

Tennis-Always popular for its social as well as athletic opportunities, tennis is offered to all ages. Games and drills teach the fundamentals while game play situations allow campers to develop all aspects of their game. We offer Beginner through Intermediate instruction.

Riflery

Riflery-Another Olympic sport taught at Kennolyn. We use Daisy brand BB Guns and Air Rifles to teach the sport of Target Shooting. Our program is operated under the guidance of the Civilian Marksmanship Program and emphasizes safety over all else. Five basic safety rules are practiced daily and enforced rigidly. Our goal is for campers to learn gun and gun range safety that will serve them well if they chose to continue in this exciting sport. Campers will experience shooting in the standing, kneeling, and prone positions. Awards can be won and outstanding shooting is always recognized during campfire announcements.

Archery

Archery-Popular since the very early days at Kennolyn, we shoot on a 20 yard range and campers will learn all the basics and have a chance to shoot often. Building skills means building scores and awards have been reintroduced into our program to provide fun and incentive.
